This actually arrived long ago.... but looking at it makes me happy!!

Counting down!

back(b)logging - Bundesliga

Heya, been feeling lazy to blog the past few weeks. Everyday i come back from work at ard 6.30, then i'll check mail and sit ard until 7, then i'll be preparing and having my dinner in the kitchen for about 2 hours... After dinner it's a quick shower and then about time to sleep already. So, since today's a saturday, i shall clear my backlog....

I went to watch a Bundesliga match with Kanna and Leungchi 2 weeks ago. Vfb Stuttgart was playing against Hertha Berlin. The atmosphere was AMAZING... just like National Stadium in 1994... with pple cheering and stamping their feet and jumping and..... simply amazing. Stuttgart's best cheer was "Scheiss Berliner Scheiss Berliner!!!!" (f**k berlin f**k berlin) But too bad Stuttgart played terribly and they lost.... Na ja, here're the photos...

^ on the way there! many many pple...

reallly many man pple...

the thing above me is a HUGE banner!!

we want goal! we want goal!!

Making Dumplings!

My chinese neighbours invited me for dumpling making on CNY eve. It's a tradition for the Chinese from northern China to make dumplings on the first day of CNY. Since i only know how to eat dumplings, i watched them in anticipation...

Half way through the dumpling making, suddenly all the lights went out! Some fuse or some electrical thing just decided to go kaputt and threaten to destroy our dumpling making session! But thankfully, there's something more reliable than electrical appliances...

Candles in all shapes and sizes

ganz romantisch lah...

I also decided to join in...

The other guy is from malaysia and also clueless on how to make dumplings

In the end after about an hour of work, we all sat down for a nice and romantisch candlelight dinner... The dumplings they made were superb! The skin and the filling was nicely done and it was soft and smooth.... Of course there were a few dumplings that were tough and looked mutated. Wanna guess who made those???

Chinese New Year in a not so chinese place

Happy CNY to everyone! Gong xi fa cai and have a great year of the rat. Phew, i'm in my second cycle of the zodiac already. I took half day leave on CNY eve and did some spring cleaning of my room. Since my room's quite small and i clean it every week, spring cleaning was quite fast and the rest of the day was free. then i decided to be adventurous and i made this

Unglaubich!!

I cannot express in words how that tiny little piece of slightly burnt meat made me sooooooo damn happy!!! All that 45 mins of staring at the oven and constantly turning the meat and all the while smiling to myself.... Pure bliss i tell you... simply heavenly!!

Anw, i had a pre CNY gathering with the Stuttgarters and one Karlsruherin at my place last sunday. We had a feast of rice, curry, Fried Chicken(yes really!!), rosti and also improvised Yu Sheng! I must say that the fried chicken was really quite good. Crispy and tender and juicy! Gracias to Kanna for it! (and to my ikea wok too!)
